2025 Bach Fun Run!
Dear Bach Community,
Mark your calendars for Bach's biggest fundraising event of the year….FUN RUN!!!
What is the Fun Run? During the Fun Run, kids can walk, run, or skip around an obstacle course. The more laps they do, the better!
Families can use our online fundraising hub to share their student’s goals with friends/family or donate themselves, to help their child and all the Bach children this year! Check out the Fun Run info page for more details & resources.
This year the Fun Run will be held on Friday, October 3rd during the school day.
Our goal for this year is $30,000!! You can donate here.
The PTO will be using these funds to provide:
- curriculum materials
- resources to support social/emotional learning
- playground equipment
- support for families in need
- experiential learning opportunities (field trips) and more!
Do you have or know a business that is interested in helping sponsor or support Bach's Fun run fundraising goals? If so please reach out to Ryan Noel to learn more.
Want to make your donation go further? Many employers will match your donation to our PTO, a 501c3 organization. Bach PTO is registered with Benevity for employer matching donations. Bach PTO's EIN is 38-3364670.
Thank you for your support!
Your Fun Run Team

Meet Daniella Kenwell
Secretary to Principal Jones
What is your background and why did you want to work at Bach School?
I started my career with AAPS as a substitute teacher. My favorite school to sub at was Slauson Middle School. It was there I was frequently pulled into the office to support the busy and dedicated OPs with tasks like answering the phone and door, treating ill students, and setting up for parent teacher conferences. When one of the OPs retired, I thought it would be an amazing opportunity.
It was at Slauson that I fell in love with student records and enrollment. After my first year at Slauson, a position opened up at the Student Accounting & Enrollment Office supporting students records and enrollment, and I thought it was a great learning experience!
After my first summer at Student Accounting, I began to reminisce about another part of my job as an OP that I loved: students.
When the OP job at Bach opened up, I was especially interested. I knew I’d be familiar with some of the students and family at Bach as I had met them while working at Slauson. (continued in next column))
I also knew Bach had a beautiful school building, strong community, and amazing academics. Running with a common theme in my career, I thought it was an amazing opportunity, and here I am!
I am delighted to be back at school, interacting with students, teachers, parents, vendors, visitors, and many others who come through the main office. I look forward to hearing the door ringing, enrolling new kids, and supporting the building's needs as best I can.
What are the top things on your bucket list?
Going to Canada for Christmas break! My best friend is studying abroad in Quebec City and invited me to visit. I’ve never been outside of the country before and I’m very much looking forward to it!
What is your favorite snack or pick me up?
Sweetgreen! There’s one downtown. It’s my go to when I want a quick and delicious lunch on busy days in the office. Flowers, plants, and stationary also bring me joy.
Is there anything you'd like families to know as you settle into your new role?
I’m so excited to be working at Bach!

Conversation for Bach Families with new (or not new) Middle Schoolers
Hey Bach Families! Do you find yourself with students at Bach AND a middle school (or high school or heck, even college)? Do you have questions about logging into PowerSchool, the bell times, family logistics? Don't we all!
We are offering a meet up on Zoom for (especially for but not limited tofirst-time middle schooler) parents to share questions and maybe even some answers for this new phase of our lives!
We will share details of the meeting with folks who fill out this interest form.
If you have *7th graders* or older, you are welcome to join so you can help with the answers to any questions :)
Please feel free to join whether your older kids are in AAPS or another school situation! Let us know your interest and rough availability and we will try to get something scheduled.
When we have this scheduled, if you are in touch with Bach families whose youngest just graduated Bach, feel free to invite them, too.
