Halloween Parade and Class Parties

Come to school in costume for the Bach Halloween parade and class parties!

The Halloween Parade is a treasured Bach tradition. Classes will leave Bach through the front entrance of the school and walk north on 4th St to Liberty, west on Liberty, and then south on 5th along the playground and back to the school. Parents and guests are welcome to view the parade anywhere a long this route, and may dress up as long as their costume fits the guidelines below.

Halloween parties will occur at a time selected by each classroom teacher. Please check with your student's room parent for details. Parents are welcome to bring themed snacks, run a craft or activity, or just attend (costumes encouraged!) - let your room parent know if you plan to help or attend.

Costume Guidelines
All students and parents are encouraged to wear costumes provided they follow these guidelines:
* All costumes must be age-appropriate for elementary students.
* Costumes should not be based on making fun of real people, real human traits, or cultures.
* If the costume is scary, is the fear factor appropriate for elementary age children?
* If your child is wearing a historical costume, make sure that it does not present
* Students may not, under any circumstances, bring toy guns, knives, swords, or other weapons to school, even if they are parts of their costumes. Included in this are hockey sticks, baseball bats, and other pieces of sports equipment because these items present potential safety hazards.
* Parent's faces should be visible so they can be identified.
